Proposal #3: NHS Project: Support to Aringay

This project is led by NHS. There is a village in Aringay, which suffers a lot from typhoon every year. They are currently in need of help, and many people die because they do not have enough food for everyone. They also do not have a good environment for education because sadly, people in that place, of course, prioritize survival. In order to help them, NHS Brent Baguio is having a project. The supplies that we are bringing are clothes, toys, books and food, which include can goods, noodles, rice, crackers and drinks. These are collected from Brent Baguio, and Brent Manila. Through this activity I can learn how much I should appreciate what I have now, and how fortunate people should share their fortunes with less fortunate people. Connecting this activity with GIN, which is another activity that I am doing, I can see experience the real poverty, which cannot be experienced by only reading the books, or written statistical data. The advisors are Mr. Nelly Ann Doliente and Mrs. Rochelle Santiago.
