Proposal #4 ICT for CICL
With the goal to remove the digital divide, Brent students are gathered to teach practical ICT skills to CICL organization. These are composed of students as young as grade 3 to 19 year old boy. This activity is held every Wednesday for about an hour from 3 PM to 4 PM. In this activity, I can learn to break the boundary between fortunate and less fortunate students. I can also learn to break the prejudice that goes in both direction: from fortunate to less fortunate students and from less fortunate to fortunate students. Believing that the education is necessary to solve other global issues, I think that teaching ICT skills to people will foster their love for learning, and provide a better condition for learning procedure. As a person, not only self-satisfaction of helping, but I can learn to widen my perspective of the world where I was not able to experience first hand. The supervisor of this activity is Mrs. Catherine Wright.
